Our Argenton workshop is a market leader in the following:
- Licence for Overhaul and Repair of Explosion-Protected Electrical Plant: Group I equipment only. Certificate of Recognition: Safety in Mines Testing and Research Station (SIMTARS), ANZEx SF 12.2000, AS3800
- Facility Certified and Recognised for Repair and Overhaul: Type of Equipment; Enclosures, Type of Protection: Ex d.
- Scope of Recognition: Repair and Overhaul of Ex d protection of Enclosures excluding rotating machines but including electrical equipment installed within flameproof enclosures up to 11,000V. Group I.
- Standards: The service facility scope complies with AS3800 Electrical equipment for explosive atmospheres – Repair and overhaul.
Mining Equipment Rebuilds
Shuttle Cars (known as the ‘Waracar’)
Swanson Industries Australia are the OEM for the Waracars.
Waracars come in two types: the standard 2011SS a 16-tonne model and the new Waracar 18-3 an 18-tonne model, Swanson Australia manufacture and provide support for Waracars at the Argenton Facility, this includes but is not limited to; Electrical Code D overhauls, full mechanical overhauls; comprising of complete strip, all mechanical components rebuilt, chassis NDT and repair, also hydraulic components fully overhauled.
Continuous Miners and Roadheaders
At our Argenton Facility, Swanson Australia have an experienced workforce that have the expertise to overhaul and repair all types of Continuous Miners and Roadheaders, and have a proven track record backed by a large Engineering team of qualified engineers and draftsmen that allow efficient repair and modification to suit individual underground requirements.
Feeder Breakers
Swanson Industries Australia are the OEM for the Swanson Feeder breaker, and Swanson Australia have a long history in the overhaul and repair of all types of feeder breaker including deck replacement, rotor breaker re-builds or manufactured as new and electrical Code D.
Bolters
Swanson Industries Australia have the ability to carry out all types of repairs and modifications to existing bolters, or with our new design build a bolter to suit the specific need and conditions of the customer with our qualified, experienced and long-term staff.
Longwall Shields
Swanson Industries Australia’s well qualified technicians refurbish longwall mining shields within our Argenton Workshop. We use specialised onsite equipment to repair, modify or completely rebuild your longwall mine shield for optimum operation.
